A bit about CCTV systems
When it comes to business security, peace of mind for the life and health of relatives, it is necessary to carefully approach the choice of security system. Over the past year alone, more than 100 thousand surveillance cameras have been installed in Russia!
Depending on where the camera is located, video surveillance systems can be external, internal and hidden. In any case, such systems monitor the object using a video camera. Using one or more cameras, you can follow it from one or several points.
Today, digital or analog systems are used. The first system uses analog means to record or reproduce a signal. As a result, the signal that will be transmitted from the cameras to the video surveillance monitors is presented in the same way as the usual signal for the TV. A major drawback that currently prevents these systems from competing with digital systems is the low write speed and poor picture quality. Digital video surveillance systems are based on the principles of lifelong coding of information and can increase the read and write speeds of video or audio several times. Improving the quality of the transmitted signal by the camera, the network size increases, allowing you to add additional sensors or cameras to the already working network. It is also important to note the low cost of operating a digital video surveillance system.
CCTV systems can be both black and white, and color. The advantages of the first are obvious – the resolution of the picture due to the fact that only two colors are transmitted can be very large. As a result, the image can be sufficiently enlarged without loss of quality. Also, the high contrast of the image at night and low cost will be a plus.
Nevertheless, the color image allows you to extract much more information from the saved record, which will allow you to quickly find the attacker.
Systems based on autonomous recorders are a device to which cameras must be connected. This method is characterized by a large number of specifications, and competent specialists are needed to work with the equipment and its maintenance. However, these costs will be offset by the fact that the device will be oriented to perform many security tasks.
Another type of device is a personal computer with a video capture card installed.
Reason for turning on the alarm or aiming the camcorder
Motion sensor triggered. The camera turns on only when the motion sensor has worked – this will save free space and other system costs.
Turn on the volume sensor – the camera turns on when any moving object has come into the field of view of the sensor.
After the control signal. This type is effective for installation at checkpoints, or checkpoints of the enterprise.
Scheduled. The cameras are turned on at the set time.
It is possible to adjust the frames in seconds, which will allow you to accurately determine the time in the picture, but it is important to remember that a large number of frames per second will very quickly overload the system (video takes up more disk space). Specialists in the installation of video surveillance systems agree that 6-7 frames per second is more than enough – this will make it possible to completely recover events without losing any information.
You can view the record both on the device that performed it and on the local network / via the Internet. Such technologies provide an opportunity to be in the know about all events at the observed object anywhere and anytime. Naturally, there is the possibility of transferring information to removable media.
When buying cameras, you need to pay attention to the following parameters:
Resolution – Small – 380 TV Lines; Average – 470 TVL; High – 600 TVL.
Sensitivity Small – 1 Lx (lux); Medium – 0.5 Lux; High – 0.002 Lux.
The built-in microphone will allow you to record not only video but also audio.
The focal length, which determines the viewing angle of the camera (the smaller the viewing angle, the greater the degree of available image detail).
